So I’m like super close to getting the alfa back on the road all i have to do to get it running is wire up the the coil and to get it moving i have to install a new cluch arm and master cylinder and then bleed the brakes/clutch and grease up a few fittings etc etc. So today after i finish up the cooling system I decide to mount the hood. Luckily i had the smart idea to check the latch to make sure it still moved freely. I pull the handle and yep everything still moves. Hold on wait a sec, the handle just went flaccid. shit
the cable breaks right at the handle but atleast I don’t have to pry up the hood with a screwdriver.
also fun fact: the hood latch on my spider is used on many ferraris of the same vintage.

It’s just worried that after you get it done, it’ll sit there in the garage and you won’t spend time with it. Give it a hug and tell it everything will be ok and the problems will stop (maybe)...

Fun fact: the shape of the wheels on my Mercury is the exact same shape as the wheels of the McLaren F1!

Don’t give up, she/he/it is testing you, making sure you are reading for the Alfa experience, before the next test begins in a few weeks, possibly days.
